Another shot (and probably the last) from my trip to Wreck Beach last week. This is a 5 photo panorama taken just after the sun passed below the mountains in the distance.
For this shot I used a 3-stop graduated ND filter and a circular polariser. This photo is almost 50 megapixels so will look especially stunning when printed at very large sizes.
About Alexis Birkill
Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
