Looking out over Vancouver's Coal Harbour marina to Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains beyond. After a cold and wet night, we were treated to a beautifully clear morning that made the newly-fallen snow on the mountains sparkle! To the right of the photo, a seaplane comes in to land at the terminal at Canada Place.
About Alexis Birkill
Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
